The only survivor of Thursday’s Air India plane crash, British national Vishwashkumar Ramesh, has revealed how he miraculously escaped the wreckage. The Boeing 787, bound for London, crashed shortly after takeoff in Ahmedabad, India, killing all other passengers and crew including 169 Indians and 52 Britons.

Ramesh, 40, seated in 11A, described the terrifying moments before the crash. "The lights started flickering after takeoff," he told DD News from his hospital bed. Within seconds, the plane felt "stuck in the air."
As the aircraft went down, Ramesh unbuckled himself, kicked through an opening in the fuselage, and crawled to safety. Over 200 bodies have been recovered, though it’s unclear how many were passengers or victims on the ground.
The crash has shocked the aviation community, with investigations underway. Ramesh’s survival offers a glimmer of hope amid the tragedy.
